Ask Ike Responses April 10, 2008 From Steveo: Ike i like the idea of the contract stuff taking care of it self. You play like u do this year and we will have to pay top dollar for you ,cause who is better than u at that lb spot in the league???Just wondering of you are a b-ball fan??? if so what did u think of the ncaa game on monday??lost 250 bucks on mephis Sup Steveo! How's it going thanks for stopping back by! Yeah in my heart I know that I'm one of the best LB's in the game or shall I say the best "SAM LB" hands down... There is nobody in the CFL that does what I do... So hopefully things will work its self out and I be taking care of like I'm supposed to, also know this Im am going to play my butt of this year because like I said before defensive P.O.Y 08' is one of my goals... Am I a B-Ball fan? Oh yes, big time... The game was really close and exciting kept you on the edge and Memphis had there chance. But they choked down the stretch and let the championship slide mannnn! I must say you should be $250 dollars richer though... Keep it coming Steveo thanks again for Ur support.... IceMan#0 From Sean Oleksewycz: Dear Iceman I am a university football player and a huge fan. I would like to know your workout schedule. How often do you lift and run to be in peak shape for the season. Also how do you break up your running to be football specific so you are in shape .I would love to know when the iceman gear is coming out for all of us to purchase. Sean thanks for checking out the site and asking Ur question and for being an IceMan fan! Sean my workout schedule varies and depends on a specific time in the off season. While at VA TECH we were always taught three words "BIGGER, STRONGER, FASTER", and that is the way I approach the off season dude. My game is built on speed so that's how I train and prepare... Early in the off-season I hit the weights really hard but I'm smart with it because I don't want to get all big and stiff and not be able to run. So if Ur a skill position guy take notice to that thought, and try not to lift the weight room its not going to help you. Remember you must, must train position specific because you don't want to be a DB working out and eating like a offensive or defensive lineman... Not good! Also you asked how do i break up my running, well I do tons and tons of position drills till I can't do them any more. Reason is you train Ur mind and body to do what you'll actually going to do while playing. As for any other type of running I do It's more like a track work out lots of sprints and stretching... The IceMan gear will be out real soon probably within the Month so keep checking the website out and be one of the first... If you need anymore help with Ur game just ask.... Iceman#0 From BBLink: Hey Ike how\'s it going?? I was wondering if by any chance you are a fan of hockey? I know it\'s a longshot..but you never know, athletes are usually fans of a lot of sports! Football is still #1 in my heart, but during the spring months almost everyone in Canada is watching the NHL playoffs. Last game of the regular season. Toronto vs. Ottawa . You like big hits, you should check this one out! Peace Tyler my man what's up dude! Thanks for Ur support keep checking me out.... To be honest I'm not a real big fan of hockey probably only because I don't understand it... I have never been to a game before and would love to go to one because I know it exciting... I always watch the highlights on ESPN here in the states and TSN when I'm up in Winnipeg... Those dudes are very talented and skilled athletes so they get much respect from the Iceman... Who's your favorite team?...BBLink thanks again for checking out the site and you never know I just might be at one of the MOOSE games this year..... IceMan#0 From Danny: Hey Ike, honestly which game do you prefer the Canadian game or the American game? 3 down, 12 man football with the larger field, or 4 down 11 man football with the smaller field? Danny, Danny oh why such a question trying to put me on the spot, hmmm! First you must understand what type of football I was raised on first and understand that there's always going to be apart of me that soft for the NFL that's all I knew. I didn't have a clue about the CFL until i came up here and all I knew was "THE ROCKET" was up here making a killing and that it was in Canada. The CFL to me is very exciting and fun to play and it's real football with lots of excitement... even though I could do with out all the passing that goes on:)... I only say that because I play one of the hardest positions on the field and I have to run all day long mannn If you only know... I am going to say i don't like the size of the field it's to BIG I prefer the NFL size field, but that's what make the CFL different and probably harder to play... and I'm still getting used to there being a 12th person on the field plus all the rules which i don't know.. Embarrassed to say that but i don't!!! So in the end I am very happy to be where I'm playing that's why I came back because I did have another chance to go to a team in the NFL after i got healthy enough... Thanks again..... IceMan#0 From H.R.G.: Nice hit in the Grey Cup. I'm sure D.J. Flick is still feeling that in the morning. My man you think so...? Gnaw he cool by now I hope cause if not then that's going to be trouble for him if he doesn't forget that HIT!!!... IceMan#0
