Ask Ike Responses May 18, 2008 From Brian: Great "pump up" blog Ike. Fan support this year is crucial on several levels. The fans need to fill the seats to create a positive financial position for the team, to encourage and support the coaches and players to show that we have fans who will be there when the new stadium is built. Bombers are good to go all the way IMO. Hope you and your buds have a great TC. Stay healthy and strong. Brian, sup buddy! Hey thanks for checking out the site... When I wrote the blog I was hoping that people would understand where I was coming from and it seem as though you did so great... When you play in a packed house it pays dividends for us players because we feed of that and it really helps!!! Brian thanks for the support and look forward to seeing you at TC08'... IceMan#0 From Branden (Turtleman85): Hey! ice ice baby Whats up? After reading your your latest blog (May.5) I see you have quite the rhymes! TurtleMan85, Whats going on boss... Haven't heard from you in a minute... Are you ready to go? Come on man how you gone hit me with the "Vanilla Ice" Ice Ice baby... He is the worst rapper of all time..lol... IceMan#0 From Jay: sup Ike. can i reserve a shirt please, i'd really like to be in the first 25 and get the autographed pic. Hey Jay what's the deal man... Hey I got cha boss man...! They should be available next week just had to confirm some details but now we ready to go, and I'm excited...Jay I really, really want to thank you for supporting the IceMan... IceMan#0 From Mike: Hey Ike, I was wondering after last year's tough Grey Cup loss, what has been the highlight of your career to date? Good Luck in '08!! Mikey what's good with cha... I like that Ike & Mike..lol! Thanks for checking out the website hope you like it... Lil Mike that's a good question and the loss at the Grey Cup last year was really tough for me because I really wanted that game and as you can see I was playing my butt off but we came up short...MAN!!! But the highlight of my career would have to be if your speaking in reference to the CFL would have to be the goal line stop I made against Montreal last year...I know you would think the hit in the Grey cup but i have to say that play!!! Dude thanks again and keep stopping by the website and check out the IceMan's Merchandise tab.... IceMan#0 From Vangie: WHAT'S REALLY GOING ON? HOW ARE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY DOING? GOOD TO SEE YOU ARE STILL DOING SOMETHING YOU LOVE. TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK. --VANGIE Vangie, WOW, WOW! How you doing? It's been a long time since we last spoke man... So I guess Ur sister told you about the site ha, so what do you think? My family is doing good I'm doing good so I can't complain...How's the little one's doing well they aren't little anymore but how are they? Is he playing ball? Well thanks for checking me out and hope all is well with you... Iceman#0 From Jay: hey Ike. I asked KG this on his site and i'll ask you. is there anything you think the organization could do or do better to attract more people to the colder weather games? Back again buddy... That is a question that still continue to puzzle me? Reason being yeah it gets cold for about I say (2) games and some people act as though its that way all season. Pretty much everybody is from Winnipeg so they should be accustom to the climate. Now I do admit for those two games it gets really cold but hey just wrap up real good, maybe drink some hot chocolate, coffee or for the diehards get you a couple of cold ones in you and let's party baby!!! Imagine how we feel Jay we don't have an indoor practice field so that means we are in it everyday suffering in the cold while some fans complain about 3 hours...:) But hey the diehards like yourself don't complain y'all just come out and support... But I got a feeling some things might change this year because we are going to be a can't miss team this year.... IceMan#0 From Doug: Thanks for the response Ike! Countdown to TC is on 24 days! Only bad thing is you guys play your first pre season game away... so when ur in Hamilton make sure to think in the back of your mind... us fans are still cheering as loud as we do when ur playing at home as when your playing away... even though its in front of the TV! I know you said on the ourbombers site that you think special teams is a place you feel we need to be more consistent, however how do you feel about the secondary? With the loss of Hebert & possibly Bolden (because of the cap) do you think we have the talent in TC to replace these guys? Bolden I know would be a huge loss because he is similar to you with the way you guys can pump up your D with the talk and your plays! Anytime your ready to play Madden im game! Even if I get an *** whoopin, I would be proud to say who I lost too! Now that you answered the number question... next is when can I get the jersey? All they have is the # 10 in stock and thats not showing much support with wearing the wrong number! Take care How's it going thanks for stopping by and checking out the site! Yeah again I'm going to say this buddy our secondary will be fine... In football there is a such thing as injuries and they do happen and last year they happened at the wrong time. We have some really good talent back there and you guys will see that this year bet on it!.. For some reason all the fans want to put the loss of Hebert in the secondary as a major major concern... Well I don't Hebert was a good player but he made the most of his noise playing on teams and was good for us on defense... Will he be missed you bet he will, but this is the Pros buddy...people come and go so when that happen somebody who is next in line must step up and try to feel shoes...Will it be tough to replace Hebert oh yeah! Now with that said Doug its not all on the players some of the responsibility goes to the staff to put in the right person in and I know that they will, trust me from the looks of thing we have some very athletic guys coming back and ready to go... But hey that just puts more pressure on me to do more this year and I'm ready to do just that! Bolden, man I don't know what's going to happen with him cause Ur right with him in there we can do sum big things because play making is a must and he can do that. Still want to challenge me in Madden Ha well buddy keep practicing cause I am and we just might have to get it on!!! Dude you can go get the jersey now boss man #0 is in effect also stop by the site and pick up some IceMan gear...Thanks again Dougie for your support and look forward to seeing you at TC08'.... IceMan#0 From Brett: Hey IceMan, Just wondering what you know or have heard about Sebastian Clovis? From friends of mine in BC, they say alot of good things about him, that he's they type of safety that loves to lay the hard hits. I know he'll be battling for the vacated Safety spot Kyries left. Just wondering if you've heard anything about him or something like that. If the stuff I hear is true, sounds like he'll be a Mini-IceMan out there... I say mini cause obviously there's only ONE IceMan. One last question, who wins in a fight? Iron Man or Ice Man? lol. Keep cracking skulls in '08 man! Bret what's going on buddy....Dude to be honest I don't know much about him but I do know Barrin does and he said that he is a good special teams guys and he could be the one to step in and take over for Hebert... So I'm ready to see what he's got hope he's ready!!! Most defiantly the IceMan wins cause all I will do is FREEZE him them smash his body to pieces..lol.. Thanks again Bret for your support and keep stopping by to check me out... IceMan#0
